Original Oil Paintings on Canvas - Open Sky Series

Since a young age I have been stirred by the mystery of sky and clouds with their unpredictable and often spiritual nature. Working primarily in oils, the majority of my current paintings are inspired by the sky and light from above, juxtaposed with the earth that grounds us. My "Open Sky" series began with studies on smaller panels and canvases and has evolved into grander scale works as the creative mission has continued to unfold. Contemplation of - and connection to - the sky is the main focus of these works. Each painting has its nuance and subtleties revealed in the scene, evidenced by interplay of brush strokes with light, committed to a singular overriding exploration, pondering possibilities rather than absolutes. An evolving process has influenced the direction of my work and revealed further horizons to explore. My artistic undertaking is to connect the history of man’s (and my own) enchantment with the sky and light, evoking a personal connection with the viewer.

Other Projects

In addition to painting landscapes/skyscapes in oil, I also paint abstract and semi-abstract artworks in acrylic, which I then photograph and turn into designs to print onto fabric and custom-made home decor accessories.
