Working primarily in oils on canvas, my "Open Sky" paintings are inspired by the sky, light, and the earth that grounds us. Contemplation of - and connection to - the sky is the main focus of these works. I see them as visual poetry. Each painting has its own nuance and subtleties revealed in the scene, evidenced by interplay of brush strokes with light, committed to a singular overriding exploration, pondering possibilities rather than absolutes. A fleeting moment of time with enigmatic beauty is captured with silent wonderment preserved eternal. I pursue the mood of every vista divulged by inimitable cloud formations, filled with ever-developing light and shadow, and, most of all, allure.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Buckhead (Atlanta, GA)


I'm beyond thrilled that my artwork was chosen for the lobby of the magnificent Ritz-Carlton Residences in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. This 89"x89" oil painting on canvas, "Atlanta Sky", depicts a moody sky along with the Atlanta city skyline and iconic Stone Mountain.
